First Day of School

Wow, how time flies...Aidan started his first day of Pre-K Monday. He has grown up so fast! When Dave and I were engaged and planning our wedding, I always imagined us having children, but I never imagined having school aged children. The whole 'they can only miss 10 days of school per year and need to go to the dentist before school starts' phenomenon was a total eye opener to the fact that we truly have a big boy and that we are getting old.

He had a good first day and even made a couple new friends. His only disappointment was that he had to wait another year to ride the school bus.

Of course his brother was equally as excited because now that he had learned to go on the potty, he could graduate to the next class and take his back pack. I don't think that he stopped smiling all day.

Little Miss

As of last Friday, we have a new member of our family...little Miss Daisy. She is such a tiny little thing but so sweet. We had talked about getting Domino a little friend but just never acted on it. It just so happened that I was on craigslist and a women down the road from us had a couple of kittens that she was trying to find a good home for. I couldn't resist her sweet face so I called and we ended up bringing her home. Of course, who has she taken to...Dave. Curls right up around his neck like a boa. We weren't sure how Domino would do but he's actually been pretty good. He's at a point now where he will go up to her and sniff her without crying at her. Of course, she is also at a point where she is ready pounce and play with Domino. We'll see how much he likes her then.

Jack Jack Attack

Well the baby turned 3 years old on June 13th. Its hard to believe that our sweet boy who would once snuggle with us for hours now fights with us about wearing clothes instead of PJ's to bed at night. I thought that the terrible two's vanished as soon as they blew out the candles on the their 3rd birthday cake. I guess not. My mother always warned me about karma. Don't get me wrong, he's a good boy but very much his own person :)

We will have some new pictures of Jack soon as he starts up soccer in a couple of weeks. He is SO EXCITED! We can't wait to watch him. They are all so cute at that age dressed up in their uniforms like big kids. I'm sure it will be a little like Aidan's baseball in the Spring...organized chaos.

Catch-Up

We have been getting lots and lots of emails lately from friends and family who have started blogs. We enjoy reading them and catching up with what is going on in their lives. For anyone that knows me you know that I am internet challenged. Anything beyond a Yahoo or Google search or People.com and you've lost me. So blogging was always one of those things like a blackberry where I could never quite wrap my brain around until I actually got one (and it now has to be surgically removed). Since this seems to be relatively easy, I am stepping outside my comfort zone and jumping on the blogging bandwagon.

Okay so even going beyond me being technologically challenged, we are awful about keeping everyone up to date on what's going on with the 3 Brewster boys. The last that we sent anything out, Aidan had just completed Spring baseball. A little bit has happended since then so let's do a little catch-up....
